Not far from where I live I have discovered this beauty



The area is fenced and I think there's a permanent guard avoiding intruders BUT I think I could try to talk to the guy, hand him a tip and he'd let me in for some time and fly through the monster. Of course I wouldn't be damaging the property, at the most I might crash some of MY stuff

What is really depressing is that to do so legally I should in principle go through two exams and umpteenth logged flying hours and spend a lot of money (which I don't have) to get a BVLOS license ....

At the same time there are idiots which just buy those programmable GPS based commercial drones and fly over crowds in my city showing off their dangerous videos on Youtube.

Thanks to you using it in the right context I just understood the meaning of "bando"

This is smack in the middle of Rome. Won't last too long since the area  is prized property but until then it could be a great spot.



If would be cool if we added a google maps overlay to our site in which we could show, describe and recommend flight venues.

Your derelict buildings look to be secured the same way as anything remotely bando in the south of the UK. Fenced off like Fort Knox with security patrols for "health and safety" reasons so there is virtually no chance of flying them. The urbex guys seem to find a way in but they usually do so by stealth. Flying a quad around isn't exactly keeping a low profile and just attracts too much unwanted attention here unless the place really is abandoned in the middle of nowhere without a single soul around.

We have some nice business parks that are potential flying areas but you wouldn't dare fly them like the guys in the US do because in the UK those places are littered with security cameras so you probably wouldn't last 5 minutes before getting kicked out, or being recorded on CCTV and then reported to the police. So it's just not worth the risk and any hassle that might go with it.

For sure if I was very rich and vastly more skilled I would take off from outside, fly in the maze, land outside and then run like hell.
A pink wig and never taking the goggles off would probably help with the cameras
