Capacitor Location
#1
I know there was already a thread for something similar to this but it's from August.

I'm putting a 1000uF 50v capacitor on a new 6s build I'm doing. The canopy doesn't have much room inside for the capacitor and saw another guy with the same frame put the capacitor on the battery lead (picture below). This seams like a really convenient way to install a capacitor but after reading Oscar Liangs capacitor guide it seems it might not be the best place.

Does anyone have any thoughts on installing a capacitor on a battery lead like the picture shows or maybe a different location idea.

My only thought would be to solder a wire closest to the base of the capacitor then use that wire to run it where you want. This gives you the maximum low ESR. Looks like you already did that. Once you do this, I don't think the distance matters as much.

The reality is, if this is your best option, then it is still better than having none.

Thanks for the reply! Looks like I'm probably going to do it this way.
