Can't get my motors to ARM
#16
Have tried removing the rx connection and see if you can get the motors to work under motor tab?

It's top right on configuration page, just below the dropdown menu for motor protocol iirc.
You might have to click a checkbox to make it independent of gyro/PID loop speed.

PS: But tbh, i fear these escs aren't the greatest... if they don't support oneshot etc, they maybe can not even do active braking, which would result in pretty poor handling.

@satan Can you draw a diagram of your wiring?

EDIT:  I was looking at your photo and it looks like you connected the BEC 5V from the ESC to the 5V rail of the FC.  I was wondering if this is shorting out the FC?  You only need the white (PWM) and black (ground).  Some would argue you don't even need ground, but this is another debate.

Okay so I flash the FC and calibrated the ESCs now the motors work when I test them in the motors tab in cleanflight. the problem I'm having now is actualy arming the motors I'm going to use stick arming because my remote has no AUX channels. any info you can give would be awesome. I'm going to keep searching the web as this is a new problem and I can't be the only one having it. Thanks again guys!

In Cleanflight, stick arming is the default. Your RX has to be working properly to arm the quad.
