Build recommendation
#1
Last spring, when i was about to build my first quad, i bought by utterly ignorance those motors
http://www.banggood.com/DYS-BX1306-2300K...46564.html

After i recieved them, i found out they are really not suitable for a 250 class quad, so i ordered others, but those are still in my parts drawer. What would you guys recommend me for frame size/propps/battery to use them in a micor/mini quad please? Or was it a complet waste of money? Thanks in advance

they are pretty weak compared to other popular 2205/2206 motors, I would probably just use them for a 5" LOS quad to bash around with... maybe a little too low KV for 4" props, but you can try as long as you keep the weight down.

I got me a 7$ frame off myrcmart to use my old 1806 2300kV... Cut off some 5x4x3 to about 3.5", and it's good enough to enjoy a bit of LOS in my backyard.

Sorry to say that, but those 1306 have too low kv to be of serious use. One thing that you may try is as Oscar said, make a practice LOS low weight quad. You can use small 3s packs (or try 4s) since those motors have low amp draw. To be honest its hard to believe those motors generate only 220 grams on 3s/5030 props, check this on your units, maybe they aren't as useless as they seem.
Find me on Youtube and Instagram. I currently fly: DRC Aura, NOX5R, Minimalist 112 and drive a scrap RC car
