Glad we have a dedicated place to ask/answer questions and share links. Hopefully Horizon Hobby keeps tons of motors in stock for their new release. Here is a video of me beating around the house. Forgive the audio quality. I am using my Android device as a DVR and it doesn't sync properly and it records from the phone which is in the office. Also ignore anything that sounds like heavy machinery, just my girlfriends sewing machine 26-Aug-2016, 09:58 AM Love the tunnel! 29-Aug-2016, 11:28 PM My whoop.. imag U.K. Whoop upgrades. http://www.dronejunkie.co.uk/product-cat...ny-flight/ Cheaper faster motors via China. http://m.banggood.com/4X-Chaoli-CL-615-6...74157.html Insane motors, when in stock. https://micro-motor-warehouse.com/collec...cl-0615-19 30-Aug-2016, 02:05 AM Excellent idea laying down all the electronics. Have any more pics? How does the double sided tape hold? 30-Aug-2016, 09:07 PM (30-Aug-2016, 02:05 AM)K24cl9 Wrote: Excellent idea laying down all the electronics. Have any more pics? How does the double sided tape hold? Double sided tape works great as everything's so light. I believe 3m is the strongest brand. I moved the camera back up top as I find it easier to judge gaps with the props in view. This vid showed up in the tiny whoop Facebook group, not bent antenna since, and I crash all the time Mullet mod... 22-Sep-2016, 11:43 AM I like the look of the camera between the ducts too, but yeah function over form every time! I did mention it elsewhere but wanted to suggest again, painting the very tips of the props with a few layers of nail polish or tip-ex or something to close the gap between the props and ducts might add a little something, if not only 1.5mm to the length of the props! I think, theoretically, it should show more improvement to the 2 blade mod... p.s I haven't even ordered the ingredients for my flame grilled whooper yet, but its my birthday in December so if I'm getting anything from Aliexpress I should probably get a move on! I will post my finalised shopping list for community approval soon... 25-Sep-2016, 06:46 PM After I busted off the cloverleaf went with the dipole upgrade, so much better 06-Dec-2016, 04:47 PM I've broken about 3 frames with the inductrix I got a while back, the cheap eachine branded replacements from BangGood.com, and I've decided its time to invest in a more durable frame. Does anyone have any experience with the CNC aluminum frames from RakonHeli? Ordered mine a bit ago, on its way from Vietnam, I plan on 3d printing a shell for my camera stuff and I'll post some pics when i get things going. https://www.rakonheli.com/cnc-al-and-cf-...ctrix.html 08-Dec-2016, 04:26 AM (06-Dec-2016, 04:47 PM)TeamPlayerGuy Wrote: I've broken about 3 frames with the inductrix I got a while back, the cheap eachine branded replacements from BangGood.com, and I've decided its time to invest in a more durable frame. Interested in the carbon frames as well, aluminum is likely too much weight. Eachine is already about 3g heavier than the stock frame. Got a beebrain fc in the mail today, can't wait to test it once I'm off work. 21-Dec-2016, 07:29 PM (08-Dec-2016, 04:26 AM)Art Wrote: I too would be interested in any comments on the Rakon aluminum / carbon fiber frames (12-Dec-2016, 08:19 PM)K24cl9 Wrote: You guys must fly really hard to break eachine frames lol. I don't fly them too hard, but I also don't fly them very good I got my RakonHeli frame the other day, moved everything over, and started flying, it is phenomenal. Quick and snappy maneuvers, everything fit great and snug, It is a bit on the expensive side, but this hobby seems anything but cheap. As for strength, I've crashed this one as much as I've crashed the plastic one, and nothing has snapped or even dented. |
