After a search i confused with the cw and ccw direction. So if i pick these motors i choose direction from betaflight or i have to find ccw motor? The diference between brushed and brusless motors is that brushless motors spins both direction an brushed spin 1 direction? • Posts: 12,099 Threads: 125 Likes Received: 3,739 in 2,836 posts Likes Given: 99 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 388 07-Jan-2018, 11:37 AM (This post was last modified: 07-Jan-2018, 11:40 AM by voodoo614.) You are correct that brushless can spin both directions. CCW and CW are just the screw thread shaft directions. Companies used to make most motors with CCW and CW threads. The purpose was when the motor is spinning, the nut self tighten. Currently, most companies only make CW thread, just because it is easier to find CW nut. You will not find a CCW thread for your motor because it does not exist. Just use a nut with nylon. You can set motor whatever direction you like in blheli suite (not betaflight). https://oscarliang.com/quadcopter-motor-propeller/ Posts: 34 Threads: 9 Likes Received: 5 in 3 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Jan 2018 Reputation: 0 07-Jan-2018, 01:17 PM (This post was last modified: 07-Jan-2018, 01:47 PM by toubas.) If when you say threat (thread) you mean rotation, then yes, you are correct • Posts: 2,286 Threads: 38 Likes Received: 1,527 in 995 posts Likes Given: 1,881 Joined: Apr 2016 Reputation: 72 (07-Jan-2018, 01:52 PM)toubas Wrote: if i understand good i can have the cw and ccw threat by choosing cw and ccw props and we use nylon nut to be more tight? I always order only CW motors if I can. Then you only need one kind of nylock nut. Ordering motors with CW and CCW threads is only necessary if you are going to use standard nuts without the nylon locking ring. Standard nuts will unscrew themselves if you don't correctly match the motor rotation with the screw thread. • Posts: 12,099 Threads: 125 Likes Received: 3,739 in 2,836 posts Likes Given: 99 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 388 07-Jan-2018, 07:14 PM (This post was last modified: 07-Jan-2018, 07:24 PM by voodoo614.) I think you (OP) are a little confused. CCW and CW props will go onto either CCW or CW motors and vice-versa. There is no threads on the props. The nut is what holds down the prop. Like unseen said, do yourself a favor, just get CW motors and CW nuts. That way you only have one kind of nuts to deal with. If your are desperate and run out of aluminum lock nut, you can always go to the hardware store and buy CW steel lock nut just to get you back flying. SoCal Kaity :D OMG, no one told me it would be this much fun!
