Brushless micro props arrive
#1
So as we all know this year is the year of the brushless micro, and I have read in quite a few places that, despite the cry from hobbyists for more options, there is still only a minimal selection of props that one can use with the new 11xx micro brushless motors... Happily I have just come across some very nice looking props on BG that look like they have actually had some pretty serious lab testing done prior to their release... Oh and CarlVegas might even be inspired to build a brushless micro now too, because they are yellow!
(amusingly Furious FPV have called the 2" props 'Fleek' Fleet' and 'Fleep' all in the same description!)

These are the 2" variety called Fleek, at least on BG, (they could be fleet or fleep too!?) they are 2036 (2x3.6x4) size and weigh 1.9g per peice.

The 3" option are named 'Rage Prop' and thankfully there isn't any mix up in the name of these ones!

The 3" are 3054 or 3x5.4x4 and also weigh the same 1.9g.

From the shape of the blade you can see that an attempt has been made with these to minimize the drag created by 'wingtip' vortex, with the addition of a 'winglet' {the slight 'sweep' on the tip of the blade} on the 3" and the needle point on the tips of the 2" which gives a significantly smaller area for the drag to act upon.

The advance ratio of these 2 types are the highest I have seen on micro brushless propellers and as such may draw a bit more amperage and require more torque from the micro 11mm motors.

Very interesting!

I might grab some of these and see if I can make an adapter to fit some 1103 motors to my thrust stand. It would be useful to get some independent test data.

Looking on YouTube, the people who have tested them comment that they are not very well balanced out of the package which is disappointing as having to balance tiny props is a real pain.

Thats it... my 3rd build has to be a brushless micro now! lol color alone absolutely does it Wink ... Actually I had been thinking that I might want a 3" in my life eventually...

These are pretty cool... they look super aggressive with those wingtips.

however a prop named after one of the greater slang blunders... I mean... "on fleek" is right up there with YOLO in my mind... but maybe I can get over that :p after all I eventually got over "the bomb"

Fleekin' awesome! Actually, I'm just waiting on parts for a 3" build and researching props for 1407 motors.
