Brushless - micro 3" or smaller
#1
Hi Guys,
i've an idea that has been bumping around my head for some time... and as described in other thread there is already something on the market .. but the urge to build it myself is too strong...

so my current thinking is as follows:
Motors 10 000kv - http://www.banggood.com/4X-Racerstar-Rac...10549.html
ESC - http://www.banggood.com/Racerstar-Mini-R...10025.html
FC - http://www.banggood.com/CleanFlight-Beta...94615.html
VTX/OSD - http://www.banggood.com/Micro-20x20mm-VT...107269.htm

Cam - any microcrap for now to get it to work...
Frame - not yet on the market Sad

things that im not sure about... are the propellers and how to mount them... recently i've been testing a brushed quad without nuts on props and they tend to flyoff... i'd like to avoid it on brushless lawnmower
open to any advise Smile
All the best
Grzesiek (Grisha/ Greg)

Curently flyable: Nox 5, Minimalist 112
Bench / in progres: fixing Nox 3,  Scrap
thinking about building: 450

I've got some of these motors (8000kv version) on the way and I have the same concern. A lot of people are using the furiousFPV props: http://furiousfpv.com/product_info.php?products_id=93 (and I've heard of using dental floss on the shafts to make a tighter fit). These are really designed for 1102/1104/1105 motors, but those are twice as expensive. Others are drilling out ladybird/hubsan etc props with a 1.45mm bit for a tight fit on the 1103's.

For myself, I decided to go the cheap route as an experiment and got some of these: http://www.banggood.com/8-Pair-DYS-2030-...12635.html (also designed for 1102/1104/1105). I will report back on how they work - but if you can afford some RCX1105's you will have many more ready-to-go options on props. (I've got these on my 130 and they are great little motors.)

Grisha is a VERY, VERY BAD MAN! He ordered parts in my name too. I was sooo determined not to order any more parts now. AAAAARGH!

Rant over, I'm excited to build a tiny weeny brushless too ;D
Find me on Youtube and Instagram. I currently fly: DRC Aura, NOX5R, Minimalist 112 and drive a scrap RC car
