1 Hi Folks
Julien here, french guy living in the UK, been interested in drones and fpv for quite a few year and finally took the plunge a year ago and bought my first quad, it's been quite a steep learning curve since and it seems to be just the tip of the iceberg !

24 Welcome to the best FPV forum online Julien! I know how you feel, I was sucked in by the cool 'ice cube' of the flite test channel on youtube, when I flashed Silverxxx acro firmware to my eachine H8 the waters cleared and rest of the 'iceberg' became visible!

72 Welcome to the forum Julien!
With the speed this industry is moving at the moment, there's always something new to learn. Thankfully, there are great forums like this and invaluable information sources like Oscar's blog which will help you along the road.
Soon, you'll be surrounded by soldering irons, frames, motors, flight controllers and everything else and be putting your own together like a pro!

1 yeah already got all of that apart from the "pro" part ^^
It is definitely moving fast, it reminds me when I was putting my own computers together, by the time you finished it, your parts were already obsolete, might not be as bad here but I definitely had second thoughts while waiting for a delivery from China and realising I could have ordered something else.
Oscar's blog has definitely been (and is still) a great read, thanks Oscar btw for your content

31 Hi Siwrx, welcome to the forum!
I've used the computer comparison a few times to explain to people what it's like... it brings me back to the days when it was a big deal to have a 400mhz Pentium II... and then the PIII came out... but that wasn't enough... then they had to make the PIII with 133mhz bus. Oh and we have to switch to UDMA cables now because they're faster. but ATA66 isn't fast enough... now they have ATA100... no wait... ATA133... and oh crap the P4 requires bigger power supplies? That means I have to start using different cases now... lol... ah the nostalgia.
