Blheli 32
#1
I told myself that I am not going to build myself another quad anytime soon. Well, it has been about 3 months and the itch is back. Anyway, I am starting a new build. Trying to decide on ESCs. Can anyone who have Blheli 32 tell me whether it is worth it? Is there any disadvantage to going 32?

I just had a quick look through Oscars review of BLHeli_32, it seems the only negative that I can find is that the BLHeli32 will not run on any other OS than Windows, also the BLHeli Chrome app wont work with the 32Bit options as this iteration of the BLHeli firmware is closed source.

Read all the articles. Just looking for someone who has them to give a personal opinion.

Performance-wise, I think BLHeliS and 32 are very close. I personally can't tell the difference.
But 32 is more future proof in terms of features, as the firmware is being frequently updated.
There is nothing wrong with BLHeli_S ESC's if you can find some really cheap ones.

The only thing I've personally noticed is they do seem to be a bit more responsive running in 1200 vs the 300 I'm running on my other build. I'm newer to FPV so I don't have much to compare each other to really, I've never flown anything under dshot300.

I took the plunge and bought some. Messing around with the ESC telemetry will be fun, but I don't think the one I bought has this. With this hobby moving so fast, you can't be left behind. I will update when I finish and fly some packs.
