Blackbox on CC3D
#1
Hello there,

I burnt up my Naze32 and all I have is a spare CC3D board to use at the moment. I have flashed the CC3D with Cleanflight, version 1.9 I believe. I’m trying to setup blackbox for use with the 2mb onboard flash memory.

My problem is, whenever I input: “set blackbox_device = SPIFLASH” the CLI prompt returns: “blackbox_device set to 0”. I even tried to input “set blackbox_device = SERIAL” just for fun and the prompt returns the same thing.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Thanks!

in Cleanflight 1.9 and before, they used 0 and 1 to represent SPIFLASH and SERIAL.
they only introduced the words SPIFLASH and SERIAL to replace the numbers in the new version of cleanflight...

so what you are seeing is correct as you are on 1.9 Smile

I think 1 is external and 0 is flash memory ?? someone can confirm that maybe

I have Cleanflight 1.1  and tried setting up blackbox.  I haven't had much luck getting it to work.  Maybe someone here can help out?

I use blackbox on CC3D with success.
0 represents serial and 1 represents SPIFLASH (internal memory)
Your rate denom is OK for 2mb memory

This is good news. I haven't had a chance to mess around with the settings, but last time I tried nothing was being saved to the onboard memory.

What Cleanflight version are you using if you don't mind me asking?

Actually I got it working too. I just forgot to enable blackbox in the config. Now I wish I had black box on my other quads. I'm using 1.1

Thanks destbr, I have everything working properly now.

I was setting "blackbox_device" to 0 thinking it was SPIFLASH.
