Having an issue with binding a new baby hawk and receiver I installed to my QX7. I made a model in the Taranis, set it to D16, turned on bind (beeping starts) then while holding down the button on the babyhawk's receiver I attach battery for power, and nothing binds from there.

The Taranis is running OpenTX FW version 2.2 dated 5-30-2017. At this point, I have hit the new guy to the hobby wall on troubleshooting further, any suggestions?

After try binding, did you get the Taranis out of bind mode and power cycle?

What receiver did you install?

Maybe try D8 protocol. Not sure what Rx you have exactly but I do know some of FrSkys micro receivers use D8 rather than D16
