Has anyone set up a mini hex with betaflight recently? I had my Blackout Spider Hex running well but it has been hiding in the cupboard for quite some time while I played with all the new mini's.

From memory the P gain had to be reduced as well as the I I assume but can't remember how much I was dropping the settings.

Any first hand experience with this you can pass on and I will forever be in your debt......

I have loaded BF 2.9 on a Naze32 Acro Rev5.

Look at the frame design, it's very front heavy. You need a custom motor mix to make it fly properly

the PID controller will iron out a lot of the issues, but if you want it flying 100% perfect, then a custom mix is the only way to fix it.

Righto so I loaded up CF 1.12 and dialled down P and I a fair bit and it is close to tuned, looks like BF is broken for hexes.

And applied the custom mix, made a big difference.
