What's up folks. So I just received my Arris f210 quad today and can't pick up a video feed with my eachine VR D2 googles( I know, they are low quality comparatively). If I can't find a solution then I suppose I'd like to ask what a good replacement mini quad vtx would be. I'm new to fpv racing and will eventually get fatsharks. Id love to stop flying LOS as soon as possible. Any ideas? Or a reason this is happening in the first place? Thanks in advance!

NEVER power vtx without antenna attached (they burn up almost immediately) Check voltage being supplied to vtx and confirm its within spec. Double check channel vtx is outputting on (assuming its powering up) as well as what channel your goggles rx is turned to. (Autotune does not always work with my Eachine Goggles 2) Just some ideas to start brainstorming. Im sure someone with more experience will jump in shortly to help also Good luck PS I am so far happy with the Eachine TX526. Cheap and switchable 24-Mar-2017, 06:18 PM Apart from checking all the things that DroneOfPrey mentioned, there's not much more you can do. As he said, if you have powered it up without an antenna, it could be dead. If you do decide to get a new VTX, the TBS Unify transmitters are great. Say goodbye to DIP switches for changing channel or power, just do it in your OSD via your radio! 24-Mar-2017, 06:24 PM Make sure you are on the right channel. I have seen a couple of beginners who thinks the vtx is not working, but they were actually not on the right channel 24-Mar-2017, 09:20 PM Yeah I connected the antenna prior to power on. I'm going to pull the quad apart a bit to see if the vtx is lighting up. I should be able to change the channel on the quad via a accessible button on the transmitter.... I have yet to see a button. I know it's a 40 channel 200mw transmitter. Pretty sure it stays at 200 and not 25-600. I'll open it and report back. Thank you all for your feedback! Great forum and people here. Thanks! 24-Mar-2017, 09:40 PM Is it this one? http://www.hobby-wing.com/arris-f210-rac...e-rtf.html From the pictures, it looks like the vtx has dip switches for setting the channels 24-Mar-2017, 11:41 PM Yeah that's it. I see what you are talking about.... I just don't see actual switches. I'm def new to the hobby. How do you physically switch it? I watched some vids of a few different vtx's and it looks like a decent sized button you can keep pressing to change the channel. It's difficult to find any info on this bird, which is probably my fault for not doing enough research. It's a bit different than my qx95, haha. 25-Mar-2017, 03:09 AM Also, the transmitter is heat shrinked. 25-Mar-2017, 03:20 AM Scroll down to the bottom and there's a manual to download. It should give you instructions on how to set up the channels on your tx http://www.hobby-wing.com/arris-f210-rac...e-rtf.html 25-Mar-2017, 10:10 AM Here is the different vtx channels: You see that black piece of plastic with all the tiny white switches right next to the antenna threads? that's the dip-switches you need to change in order to have the channel you want |
