Best Tiny Whoop build?
#1
Whats the best Tiny Whoop build I can make? Taking cost into consideration, I want it around the $50 price mark, but cheaper would be nice. I already have the AIO FPV cam, but are there any tiny whoop secrets out there? Like a special motor type, or frame? What build would give a great thrust to power ratio, and still yield decent flight times around 3-5 min? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated because I have a very little of idea where to start. Huh

Have a look on the Tiny Whoop site!

They will sell you the Inductrix BNF for $49.99. They also sell the faster motors, better props and better batteries that you need to upgrade the Inductrix to a Tiny Whoop.

There's also a sticky thread here in the Brushed Micro section all about the Tiny Whoop: http://intofpv.com/t-build-a-tiny-whoop-...our-builds

I prefer something you can build on a "Cockroach" frame.

I like the new NewbeeDrone all in one stack.

I also like a canopy

If you want to buy something prebuilt.

The Beta65 is your typical "Tiny Whoop" with 6mm motors. 65S has 7mm motors.

You can get the 65S from Amazon or a kit with frame, motors, props, and canopy. You provide the flight controller.

Simply bind it and fly it.  Spare parts are readily available and inexpensive so repairs are easy.  At $54 already assembled...it fits your budget pretty closely.

Oops I didn't see the $50 budget.

Yep, the E010S above and a 5 pack of batteries with a charger for $19 is the way to go. In my opinion.

The only thing I don't like about the E010S is the unprotected cloverleaf FPV antenna.

It will get bent out of shape very quickly and it is very difficult to get it bent back into shape accurately. Once the antenna is bent, it will become out of tune and the worse the antenna is tuned, the more power gets reflected back to the FPV transmitter. These tiny little AIO cameras run hot enough as it is with a well tuned antenna. Using a badly tuned one will decrease the range significantly and over time, burn out the transmitter.

If I get a camera like this, I remove the clover leaf and solder on a whip antenna instead.
