Best FPV goggles under 200 bucks?
#1
My top choices right now are:
  • Fatshark/Quanum Genesis
  • Fatshark Teleporter V5
  • Eachine One
  • Eachine VR D2 (VR D2 is cheapest, but I read on another forum says they have a ton of problems)

I have a Boscam TR1 camera with built in transmitter I bought used, and I 3D printed a mount for it for my 350 QX (original 350 QX, also bought used, lol).
I've flown quite a bit, but I really wanna start doing FPV, and I've heard that goggles are way more fun/immersive than an lcd monitor.
I just need some affordable goggles!

The Quanum V2 combined with a nice Diversity Receiver like the FR632, is an awesome choice for FPV.

I started out with one then upgraded to the Fat Shark Dominator HD V2. The screen on the Quanum is almost better.

The Dominator HD's have slightly better color, and maybe a touch clearer.

However, the Quanum has a big immersive screen that is clear, and colorful. Making it easy to see objects in the world. The bigger the screen the better.

Why does anyone get a big screen TV? To see better! So get the biggest quality monitor/goggles you can, and the Quanum is a great choice

I used upgraded Quanum v2's for ages, really nice goggles, but had some odd issues, like not being able to use an external ground station unless it shared ground with it.

I use quanum V2s, apart from the fact, that they are heavy and bulky, look like a christmas tree are heavily modded, they are well worth trying out. If you need something lighter, prettier and very close quality-wise, take a look at Quanum Cyclops - ready to use out of the box, light and very comfy.

Size of those goggles is the only thing that drives me towards getting the Skyzone V2+, but that's well above the budget.
Find me on Youtube and Instagram. I currently fly: DRC Aura, NOX5R, Minimalist 112 and drive a scrap RC car

I have the Eachine EV800 goggles. Even with built-in battery and RX, they're quite light. Excellent resolution for the price

2 pros:
- idiotproof
- light

2 cons:
- no video out
- size

i'd recommend start with quanums/eachine screen and if you get hooked up move to gogles at some point. (unless 200$ is nothing for you Smile )
All the best

Curently flyable: Nox 5, Minimalist 112
Bench / in progres: fixing Nox 3,  Scrap
thinking about building: 450

I use some quanum v2s and they are fine. My friend bought some ev 800s and i am very impressed.

V2 advantages. Modular, able to choose your rx battery and put in a dvr or head tracker easily. Wear glasses under the goggles.
Ev800 advantages. More comfortable(in my opinion), all inclusive, smaller, disconnects from head strap to become a screen with a mount on bottom(pretty convinient for bench testing or as a second screen with friends

If i was going to buy a new set of budget goggles today i would get the ev800s myself. I like the size and they were comfortable, the modular advatages with the v2s are things i dont use except i would miss being able to switch out the battery
