Random thought - are you sure that the board can't handle it? I mean, same outcome, but is it possible that it's really the battery?
The voltage sag could be really bad, dipping below what the board can handle with everything running.

I had some batteries that even on a fresh charge would dip below 3.6v just getting off the ground (and still fly for 5 minutes).  The beecore claims the bottom of its voltage range is 3.7v - Those same batteries would dip below 2.5v! on a punch out towards the end of a flight - killing the video until the voltage came back up (different board that could run at voltages 2.5v).  Important to note that when I could finally check the voltage it was something like 2.7. After the battery cooled for even longer, it was up at 3.2.  But we're talking after like 5 minutes. So sag isn't restricted to just the immediate effect of less power being available for punch outs.

It's supposed to be able to handle 8.5mm motors according to Banggood .... so one would hope it's not the amps that's doing it.

Interesting thoughts.  I have the the 59000RPM motors from BG.  I've only flown in the house so haven't punched out too hard but I have noticed the odd glitch (sudden drop or kick of yaw but no loss of video).  Haven't flown it enough to pinpoint exactly what I'm doing when that happens.


I'm using 260mah 30C cells from BG.  What are you guys using?

Overall I'm really happy with my E010-Whoop, great fun to fly around the house and terrorise the cats.  Hoping I see another minute or two once I replace the TX02 for TX01.

My setup is the 59K motors, Boldclash F-01, FrSky board.

This combo is good for 3.5min.

I do have those 260's though. I plan on trying those out sometime soon.

I've taken mine outside and pinned full throttle for about 50-60m straight up... seems fine.

I DO however have the occasional hiccup like you're talking about - just POOF drops for no reason. So far, it's ONLY happened indoors and ONLY near my router? Probably doesn't have anything to do with it. But that's been the only constant: proximity to my router.

Wireless routers do use 2.4Ghz for wifi B,G,N.  So it could have something to do with it....

Yeah - that's what I thought.  Someone on RCGroups gave me a resounding, curt, "No." when I posed a similar question.
But my router alternates between 2.4 and 5ghz (for AC). The 5ghz (and even 2.4ghz) wreaks havoc on the video feed for sure.

Funny, now I think of it the last glitch I got was very close to one of my AC Wifi AP's. Not sure that's been the case every time so I'll have to pay more attention. Frequencies used by the radio and the AP do potentially overlap. I'm using the FRSky - as it's D8 there's no EU-LBT to avoid noisy/in-use frequencies.

No problems with video on my side. My video is on 5740; I just checked that AP and it's using 5G channel 40 which is 5190-5210 so well clear.

Just Got the Beecore connected to the E010 frame. I am trying to configure the 4 LED's on the bottom. Are they configurable using the cleanflight GUI? I would like them to flash on low battery voltage, so far no luck.

I don't think they are configurable LEDs.

So, I have replaced the TX02 with TX01. I can notice the video signal is weaker - I now get slight breakups/noise when flying upstairs whereas before I had a solid signal at all times.

Flight times have increased by 20-25 seconds, so, there is a difference but it is not dramatic - what is that perhaps 10-15%?

I'm using stock Eachine props and the TX02, and total weight is 22 grams wihtout battery, 28 grams with.

I'm using Eachine 200mah 30C batteries.

Problem is, it requires nearly 80-90% throttle to stay in the air, and at times, it'll just drop out of the sky. Even with the high throttle, I can get 2-2.5 minutes of flying.

Any thoughts?

Stock batteries? I heard they are pretty bad and could probably cause issues like this.

Not the stock ones, these are more mah than the stock 150s. The MyLipo packs that Micro Motor Warehouse uses are 205 mah, the ones I'm using are 200 mah.

i know that the mah rating between the mylipos and the eachines are similar - but i didn't believe it until i tried the mylipos ... they are a zillion times better.

i have the banggood "upgraded" 615 motors which are the same as the "very fast" from 65 drones (same kv rating at least) - i don't have the eachine 205s but i have the eachine 150 and 260 30c - and ... they just can't drive this thing. the 150s are ok for about 1min but it's full throttle the whole time practically.

either way ... when i swap to the mylipos .. it's like night and day. my whoop, which is slightly very similar in weight to yours, flies with tons of punch for about 3.5 min on the mylipos. They even sell a "HV" version now of the 205s which should be cool. I think whoops are just sensitive to battery selection - but i've only tried with the 16kv motors, which people have told me are pretty slow in comparison to others - MMW "very fast" is 17kv i think...

anyways i understand that the mylipos are expensive and hard to get there are other options. but I'd definitely looks for batteries that list their burst rating.. like "25c/45c" some people have implied that there is a rating system for battieres where "30c" only effectively means - 30c/30c ... no real burst to speak of. :/

Just to let you know, I have bought 240mAh 30C and 250mAh 25C (compared to the stock 150mAh 20C), only been using them for 2 days (so can't yet give you a full picture) but looks like I should have heeded the advice given by Oscar to "only get decent (i.e mylipo.de) from a 'reputable' source." One of the cheaper 240mAh has ballooned already, the 250's seem to last about the same if not less time than the 150's, and the 240's life varies drastically - one of them will just take off with full throttle then immediately enters low voltage state. some of the others seem ok though...

Oh, man. I guess I'll have to see if I can get some batteries then. Nobody ships to India, unfortunately. Will have to wait and see if someone can manage to import them.

It has taken me 2 months of internet trawling to find a supplier of mylipo's here in South Africa, I'm actually very surprised that they are offered at quite competitive prices, most stuff for the hobby is basically double what you pay on BangGood!

Anyway Gulzaar, I feel your pain and wish you the best of luck finding a supplier, maybe if you have friends that you fly with you could order some together and split shipping costs..? Just a thought.
