Battery C Rating

Hey Everyone,

I know a lot about lipos now,  but there's just a few things I'm still unsure of.  I'm currently running tatuu 75c 1300mah with rs2205 2300kv.  I know it flies fine with the pack but the setup does use up a lot of amps.  According to Oscar's data:

Gemfan 5045×3 Triblade
%50
thrust 417
amp 5.4
watt 87.5
efficiency 4.77

%100
thrust 1155
amp 27.3
watt 442.3
efficiency 2.61

The 4 motors @ 100% throttle should use 109amps.  My 1300mah lip @ 75c should be able to supply 97.5 amps  (<---------- I hope this is correct)  The lipo also has burst rating, so it should be more than enough.

What I would like to know is what happens if I was to use a 1300mac @ 30c supplying 39 amps.  Do I just get huge voltage sag?  Or can the battery get damaged easily.

Thanks!

Yes you will see more obvious voltage sag with low C rating batteries when pulling too much current.
They get warmer, and more likely to become swollen if you push it too hard.

I run mainly 60C and 75C rated 1300mAh 4S lipos and honestly the one thing I find with the higher C rated batteries is that when you get a low battery warning , you MUST land straight away, High C rated Lipos do not give you much if any warning they will run out of juice after the first lipo warning, they just drop straight away. I have my lipo alarm set to 3.5 volts loaded and usually when I land the unloaded reading is around 3.65 to 3.75, but like I said, ignore the alarm and the battery will just drop you out of the sky almost instantly.
