Bangood affiliate program's primary tracking method is cookie-based.
Customer browsed another affiliate's website before purchasing.
It’s source was from another affiliate's platform, instead of your referral link.
Before your buyers enter your referral link, it would be best if they wipe out the cache of the browser first and don’t click other links or website after they enter your link.
We’ve been trying to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of our referral system, but that doesn’t mean we get to have everything in control.
Besides, the improving of the tracking accuracy can be two-sided, so the changing of the sales volume can be a tricky thing.
he current tracking system is more accurate than it used to be to avoid orders being wrongly and unfairly allocation.
If there is any order that you referred successfully, the system will certainly detect it and add it to your account.
So basically it's a joke. My "customer" just clicked on my referral links that i copy\pasted him on Facebook Messenger and then he added to cart and paid.
I tried to explain this to them, sending also screenshots, but they just replied like this. And no commissions once again. I'm removing all the affiliate links from my website.
I actually do a lot in the Banggood affiliate program, If someone has the honey browser extension installed then it will overwrite any prior affiliate cookies with their own, which is how honey makes so much because they get affiliate revenue whether or not it finds you a discount code. I have lost plenty of sales to this, and it's not Banggood specific, that's how all affiliate links work, even outside of BG and unfortunately at this day and age we just need to be happy with what we do get.
To the guy whos affiliate points disappeared, there is a few possible explanations:
a. the 45 Day window. After an affiliate sale, you have to wait 45 days for your points to clear. If a sale was cancelled or returned in these 45 days then you lose the points. You can figure this out from your "order report" as status will come up as cancelled or refunded.
b. all banggood points (including affiliate) reset on the 1st of Jan every year, so you must withdraw your points into either BGPay or paypal before then or you will lose your points. My affiliate partner will normally send me a message on facebook to remind me to draw out my points a week before this.
Also I saw mentioned earlier about "Banggood shills" with reviews. I agree there are quite a few of these around (UAVFutures anyone? LOL) but I myself am not motivated to do this for a number of reasons, keeping in mind my reviews are 3D printers normally:
1. If I'm not honest about a product, people will know... and that hurts my reputation. Which matters more to me than my relationship with banggood
2. I work with 3D printer brands directly at times, meaning banggood isn't my only 'source'
3. Yes I want affiliate revenue, but I don't care which printer you buy, and if you don't buy it from banggood I dont mind either. I just link to it on Banggood incase you do want to buy it there
4. I am an aliexpress and amazon affiliate too, I'm going to start including links to printers on their sites too soon.
When Banggood provides me with a product for review, I will include a link to the product on their site, a price and coupon code on their site if they provide one and occasionally on special request I will put in a 2 line advertisement about whatever promotion they have on at the time. I am very careful to not recommend a printer that isn't great from my experience... haha
I just wanted to clarify that not everyone who works with banggood is a shill, some of us have dignity intact. I know Oscar has had a few review samples from Banggood, and he makes sure he isn't biased either.
