Bad Loop w/GoPro
#1
So I decided to test out the GoPro Session 5 including "durability testing" lol. I was headed back from a business trip and stopped at a park to get a few batteries in. One reminder: don't let Carl do powerloops with your quad... I'll break it! lol... One of these days I'll get better at them.

Question that is sparked from this event that applies not just to this quad but the bumblebee as well... I have a motor that grinds when I spin it... One is more dramatic than the other. The less dramatic one feels like the thing that is grinding might be moving, not always at the same point of rotation. The other, seems to have a common point where it grinds.

Is there anything I can do to try to repair that? Anybody have any good recommendations on walkthroughs for taking apart a brushless? Any advice before I start on a journey of trying it out?

Here is the video:
Note, you'll find my flying to be much more subdued. I think part of that was feeling a little uncertain with the quad I had and a little because I've been flying different lately. I've been working on control a lot and it's changed some of my flying habits.

Man, that looked like a lot of fun!! Great flying Carl! Love the park and the "sloloms". How great to have a huge sports complex like that all to yourself! Thumbs Up

Great spot! And great flying!

The GoPro video looked really nice, but I noticed the image was moving around a lot... is this the electronic image stabilization? You can see the quad in frame moving around, but the image remains very stable to look at.

Thought the same, afaik image stabilization is on by default.

Difficult spot when trying to fly low - so many obstacles Smile

Thanks guys!

Yeah stabilization was on Doh I'm still learning the camera. I'm super happy with video quality though.

This spot definite!y was harsher that. I thought but I think part of that was because I fly areas and ways that I wouldn't before... I need to get back to returning home with operational equip!ent again lol

I have been waiting for the day when the fields are clear near my house. Very similar with 7 fields and 2 playgrounds.
Great flyin' Carl! Great video too. Had me smiling the whole time. Especially when I noticed the Zelda heart life bar ROFL Thumbs Up

The company I work for has a market in Cleveland. If I get the chance I'll bring equipment and make the trip down. I like detours on business trips, gives me an excuse to leave early or stay the weekend after.

I have yet to bring LiPos on a plane with me but eventually I am going to have to go for it. I should get some of those TBS bags that are strategically labeled with the regulations for flying with batteries.
