Babyhawk warning
#1
I got me an Emax Babyhawk over the weekend. Damn HeliDirect shipped it faster than the 2s lipos I ordered off of Amazon. Monday the batteries show'd up at work and at break time I was having a blast zipping around the shop, buzzing coworkers and... well for maybe a minute. The jello in the 800tvl cmos (very nice picture I must say) seemed worse than what I had been seeing in YouTube videos. So after it dropped an arm and went down I picked it up with a motor dangling by the wires. Them tiny ars screws that use a ridiculous 1.3mm hex were all gone. Fortunately Emax supplies you with a small bag of extras but no hex key like they do with all their motors. At lunch I was able to pick up a tiny ars hex driver and remount the motor and giving all the other screws check. Every god damn one was loose and not just the motor mounts but the prop screws too! I'll have to Locktite everthing when I get home I thought as I pulled my Fatsharks down over my eyes without ever test arming. Lunch was almost over and I was too excited to fly this baby so the mother F'er flipped over onto my lap taking off a few layers of skin with those harmless 2 inch props and 1104 motors. Short end was a wire broke right at the winding.
In the minute of flight time I had with it I will say it is a blast to fly, quick and responsive but it left a bad taste in my mouth. I'd still recommend one but I think I'm going to give the Torrent or the Aurora a try instead. If you get one Just check the screws first and locktite em before flying it.
