Today in Acro when almost knife edge in a half right roll during a reversal it went out of MY roll control to true level inverted and froze, then after a second or two unfroze and continued unaffected to the end of the pack. (It happened halfway through capacity roughly). |Recoved from ground and flew it back. Then two flights normal. Then it did it again, on a half roll ceasing controlled flight, going fast to perfectly level inverted, locked like it to ground from 30 metres up, maybe 20 metres away from transmitter in clear line of sight. No damage even on frozen ground. In Testing it works perfectly in Angle and in Horizon (with or without Air Mode on in Horizon), flips etc all perfect. I run low transitition power so slow smooth rolls are possible This is only happening in Acro. VERY odd!! • Posts: 935 Threads: 69 Likes Received: 339 in 253 posts Likes Given: 155 Joined: Dec 2021 Reputation: 19 Had a skulk around in Betaflight Receiver action, modes action, etc, etc. All appears normal, no glitches, all bars etc move smoothly. • Posts: 4,073 Threads: 75 Likes Received: 2,548 in 1,858 posts Likes Given: 3,949 Joined: May 2021 Reputation: 121 24-Jan-2023, 10:34 PM (This post was last modified: 24-Jan-2023, 10:36 PM by Lemonyleprosy.) That is bizarre. I was gonna guess quick rx signal loss, but, that wouldn’t cause it to self level inverted. I don’t think a tinyhawk has a spare uart to slap a blackbox logger on it, does it? Dangerous operations. Disclaimer: I don’t know wtf I’m talking about. I wish I could get the smell of burnt electronics out of my nose. No, that's right, 2 UART, one for ELRS and the other for Vista. The distance it fell and the ambient 9mph breeze should have shown some instability, and the move to inverted was not stick generated and was extremely precise, no wobble at all. Both in the goggles and spotter view it was perfectly level all the way to ground, in acro and inverted. Sticks had no effect. I even had just enough time to disarm and re-arm with no apparant regain of control, still perfectlly level inverted. It was inverted in the grass, having fallen on its top mounted battery with no visual damage bar small amounts of soft dirt (thawed frozen ground) I retrieved it, carried it less than 10 metres to the patch short grass, armed it and immediately flew it in Acro, Angle, Horizon, and back to Acro without any changes to it, even the same battery. It behaved as expected for all modes. • Posts: 6,105 Threads: 172 Likes Received: 2,283 in 1,830 posts Likes Given: 4,730 Joined: Feb 2019 Reputation: 100 you could load an rc link preset for your elrs rate, maybe its the source? • Posts: 935 Threads: 69 Likes Received: 339 in 253 posts Likes Given: 155 Joined: Dec 2021 Reputation: 19 HB, that comment made me check something else, and my roll, pitch and yaw are going 988 to 2011 with a upper threshold of 1900. • Posts: 935 Threads: 69 Likes Received: 339 in 253 posts Likes Given: 155 Joined: Dec 2021 Reputation: 19 So today I ran numerous packs through it, throwing it around all over the sky, had not even corrected the above offsets, and.............. it was perfect, no instances. Not the slightest glitch.
