Awesome Youbi XV-130
#1
Presentation
The Youbi XV-130 is quad fpv to 130 mm delivery RTF.
The packaging is neat and inspires confidence, both outside and inside.

You will find the Youbi carefully installed in the pre-cut foam and accessories that are provided:
  • 2 packets of 4x3x3 propellers

  • vtx the antenna of the flexible type

  • Two cables to connect to the receiver, ppm or sbus

  • 2 scratch lipo

  • a-XT30 Jst adapter

  • a notice in English.

I also replaced the engine cones with nuts on hand nylstop low profile.

However, I have chosen to replace the scratch lipo with a strap type scorpion strap for ease of use.

Specifications
  • Format 130 mm unibody chassis carbon 2mm Propeller 3 inches

  • Esc 4in1 Blheli S 20A / 40A peak (recognized as FH 40 on Blheliconfigurator)

  • Fc F3 Spracing (MPU6050 sensor) including the Vtx

  • Vtx 5.8GHz 40CH with the possibility to switch the power (25mW, 200mW, 400mw) -Do not forget that we are limited by regulation to a maximum power of 25mW.

  • Camera 600 tvl CMOS sensor with FOV (viewing angle) of 100 degrees

  • Engines in 1306 3600kv size (cw and ccw)

  • Lipo accepted: 2s to 4s

  • Compatible PPM or SBUS

  • lipo connector XT30

  • Without lipo weight: 120 grams
The set is very well mounted and even after removing the canopy, it is still as enjoyable thanks to the combined esc 4 in 1 and fc including vtx.

The carbon chassis appears to be good, however, as you can see below, a chamfer been designed to be able to slide the cables motor. The visual rendering is top but I fear that in time the frame is weakened at this location during a "big" crash will facilitate the breaking of the arm.

propellers
The propellers included in the kit (4x3x3) seem very nice but when the grip seems a little heavy for their taille.Je decides anyway to try a flying up with but I notice some strange vibrations and oscillations has some plans .

Having 3x3x3 Schubkraft on hand I repeat the test and, oscillations and vibrations are observed not présente.Le Youbi also soon take its towers at large resources.

Programming and Installation Rx
Flying FrSky I made the choice to install XM + which, in addition to being efficient is small size (21.5 * 12 * 3.5) and weighs just 1.6 grams !!
Once betaflight the Ports tab in UART3 select Serial Rx

In the Configuration tab select Serial-Based receiver and below SBUS

Here pids used during the maiden

And regarding the FPV gear
After several flights I admit that I am satisfied.
Of course, the mini cam 600 tvl cmos does not do as well as we usually use cam Hs1177 style but it is very correct, except against a jour.Visible on video facing the sunset.
The integrated vtx has the Fc is when it is very satisfying, I have yet made the flight with the supplied original (2.8 dBi according to the manufacturer), which is not the type of antenna the most efficient.
Small disadvantage, however, and that is understandable to access the button vtx order to change frequencies or bands, it is necessary to disassemble the antenna and removing the canopy (2 screws hexa) Operation also perform to access the USB port has less play some of the dremel or stanley on the canopy (it would be a shame, it's so beautiful)
The spacers or just screw the canopy are made of nylon, so avoid tighten more than necessary at the risk of damaging the passing above filet.J'ai ultimately opted for nylon screw also.
At the opening reception and box I quickly found something, the camera was not stuck right in its holder (see photo below). That said, being bonded with a drop of hot glue, he was easy enough to rectify this.

The flight
The time comes or when the configured machine, I installed lipo (Nanotech 850 mah 4s), Taranis ON, OK glasses, connecting the OK machine (nice little melody Game of thrones through bl heli sounds), and armament GAS!! Oulah ca advance not bad at all!
Well I can tell you that we quickly forget that we are on a format 130! Really feel of driving a machine type format 210.
The weight / power ratio is more than good and very healthy behavior, so he only takes very little time to get the machine in hand and feel good on the sticks.
video Review

Conclusion
If you too succumb to the tendency of small formats, and want a nice machine to cool prices, which both accept the 3s than 4s, the Youbi is a good choice.
Those who do not like to touch the soldering iron will be pleased, given that only the receiver to install.
