Hi Jimbo, As I see you have a buzzer on the FC. Does it work properly? I have the same clone board but the buzzer doesn't work properly. It's beeping during the power up but cannot activate it with switch although BF config is ok. Another issue it beeps constantly when I switch to acro mode. regards, o • Posts: 2,286 Threads: 38 Likes Received: 1,527 in 995 posts Likes Given: 1,881 Joined: Apr 2016 Reputation: 72 (10-May-2017, 08:59 PM)oleeg Wrote: Hi Jimbo, As I see you have a buzzer on the FC. I think the board arrived with 3.1.5 and had this buzzer issue. So I updated BF to the latest but nothing changed. So I think you are right they didn't copy the design properly... • Posts: 2,286 Threads: 38 Likes Received: 1,527 in 995 posts Likes Given: 1,881 Joined: Apr 2016 Reputation: 72 It's not just down to the release of Betaflight. Some boards identify themselves incorrectly and this leads to flashing the wrong target which causes odd stuff like the beeper going off when it shouldn't. For example, see this thread: http://intofpv.com/t-beeping-when-horizo...4-st32f405 An F4 flight controller that almost worked with the REVO target, but like yours, it sounded the beeper all the time while in acro mode. Flashing the AIRBOTF4 target solved the problem. As far as I understand it, the board in question here is the TinyFish clone with the onboard FrSky receiver. If so, are you flashing it with the TINYFISH target? • Posts: 77 Threads: 4 Likes Received: 28 in 23 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Aug 2016 Reputation: 2 Yes it's a TinyFish clone and I flashed with TINYFISH target. • Posts: 91 Threads: 10 Likes Received: 84 in 45 posts Likes Given: 105 Joined: Aug 2016 Reputation: 2 @oleeg - Yep, same issue with mine on TINYFISH BetaFlight target. Beeps on power up and only stops in Horizon mode... Slightly annoying and hope there's a workaround in the future! • Posts: 77 Threads: 4 Likes Received: 28 in 23 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Aug 2016 Reputation: 2 11-May-2017, 09:49 PM (This post was last modified: 11-May-2017, 11:57 PM by oleeg.) I think one LED and the buzzer outputs are mixed up. As far as I can remember my other FCs use a LED to display the mode selection (acro, stable). I set low battery warning in BF for this tinyfish FC and I can see when the battery voltage reaches the configured threshold (I see the battery voltage via telemetry) one LED starts blinking. So when I change the mode to acro the buzzer is activated instead of the LED and when the battery voltage reaches the warning threshold the LED is blinking instead the buzzer is beeping... The circuit diagram says that pin 4 (PC15) of the STM32F303 processor should be connected to the gate of the FET that drives the buzzer. The target.h file in Betaflight defines the buzzer as being on pin 20 (PB2), which isn't connected to anything in the circuit diagram. The target also defines LED1 as being on PC15, whereas the circuit diagram says it is connected to pin 34 (PA13). So, if you make a custom build where BUZZER is defined as PC15 and LED1 is defined as PA13 to agree with the circuit diagram, things might start working as expected! Thank you so much sir! Need some time to check it because I removed the buzzer but I will inform you about the result.
