Artificial Horizon on OSD
#1
Hi there,
Does anybody have a recommendation for an (affordable) OSD for displaying an artificial horizon?

Do people use this for racing quads? I'm planning on using it with a Naze32 and Sony CCD 700TVL camera.
Cheers B

I don't use artificial horizon, but i know it's an option in MWOSD, a firmware used on MinimOSD Smile

Not really, with racing quads, you want minimal OSD so less distraction Smile normall there are just voltage and timer on mine...

I use a minimOSD with MWOSD firmware.
Had an artificial horizon on it, but like Oscar said, it's to much!

If you search on RCGroups there is a thread by me and some others where we discuss how to set an offset of the horizon so it aligns with your camera angle.
But it was all on (i think) MWOSD 1.1 ... now we are at what, 1.4.

Cheers

Definitely go with the micro minim osd ($11 and tiny!), you can change settings on the naze with your goggles and transmitter. Also change settings on the osd like turning on/off the horizon, side bars and many other options. I just have battery voltage, amps and rssi on mine, horizon was a little too much when trying to focus on flying through a course. You can use an ftdi adapter/cable to configure it using mw gui as well.
If it isn't broke, fix it anyways!
