For me they seem to be pretty pricey and I don't know why I would justify spending so much on one, when many other possibilities exist that aren't as pricey. Also, if I was looking to get one, i would be looking at a 3", such as the Gecko. Edit Reason: Typo corrections. ) The price of Armattan frames is high because they have a lifetime warranty. Even if you break or damage part of the frame or an arm yourself, Armattan will just send you out a new replacement part free of charge (after you have provided them with photographic proof of the broken part). All you pay is the shipping costs. The problem is that if you are in the US the shipping cost is only ~$5, but in the UK we end up having to pay $25 in shipping costs to have the parts shipped from overseas (and then the risk of import taxes and VAT on top of that). So outside of the US Armattan frames just aren't worth the premium price IMO because with high shipping costs of any replacement parts the lifetime warranty is virtually worthless. You might as well just buy a cheaper frame and then shell out for any replacement parts yourself (locally of from China) if something breaks. I have a Armattan Tadpole frame I am using in a build and find the quality quite high. I chose this one because it is a 3 inch frame that weighs less than 20 grams... It is the non HD version. I see it as you get what you pay for. I have two different frames. A 5” marmotte and the 7” chameleon. I’ve looked and looked for a frame that has as cool of a front end and didn’t find one. The camera cages are the best looking out there that I’ve seen IMO. As far as warranty I’ve never used it, they haven’t broke. Now I haven’t hit concrete but it’s had some trees jump out in front of it without a scratch. Never replaced more than props on either of them. They are not super light frames. I never had problems with either frame and there was talk about frame vibrations on the marmotte that never occurred on mine. I only bought the solid frames so I don’t have any experience with the detachable arm versions. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy one, their pretty solid. I am actually planning on building a japalura next. They take a little planning to get everything tucked in as the deck height is low. While they're not Armattan branded, they use Armattan's carbon. I abuse my frames quite a bit and have only broken two arms, one top plate and two bottom plates in the 2 years I've been flying them. Armatton have a place in fpv history as I thought can't really be a proper fpv nut job till I've built a Armatton, Posts: 21,261 Threads: 587 Likes Received: 8,966 in 6,634 posts Likes Given: 1,425 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 788 If you want quality carbon fibre then another brand name to look at is ImpulseRC who also have their place in the FPV history books. Their frames are also built for durability. Still expensive but not quite as much as Armattan frames. There is no lifetime warranty with the ImpulseRC frames but they are built like a brick house and are difficult to break, so you don't really need it.
