Tiger F60 Pro 2500KV Motors and what is in the picture. Great choices! That should give you an insanely powerful Chameleon. The BFF3 ticks all the boxes for me and I have one here waiting for the next build after I've got the SwiftBlade up and running. • Posts: 626 Threads: 96 Likes Received: 531 in 218 posts Likes Given: 188 Joined: May 2016 Reputation: 20 So i just finished my build last night. i will finish with all the little details today when i get home from work today. hopefully i can have it up and tuned for racing on sunday. only thing is, it's looks so pretty i don't wanna crash it. lol Posts: 2,286 Threads: 38 Likes Received: 1,527 in 995 posts Likes Given: 1,881 Joined: Apr 2016 Reputation: 72 Looking good! I ask as I have a Chameleon frame on the way and wasn't sure whether or not to do it. Any advice greatly appreciated Thanks, hendrixhughes Posts: 2,286 Threads: 38 Likes Received: 1,527 in 995 posts Likes Given: 1,881 Joined: Apr 2016 Reputation: 72 (28-Apr-2017, 09:17 AM)hendrixhughes Wrote: Hi, Both of these look awesome Did either of you guys do any prep on the carbon before building? The first thing you will notice is the lack of sharp edges and how well finished all the parts are. I've never found any extra preparation needed on any Armattan frame. You really are in for a treat when yours arrives! • Posts: 34 Threads: 11 Likes Received: 55 in 22 posts Likes Given: 34 Joined: Mar 2017 Reputation: 0 (28-Apr-2017, 09:49 AM)unseen Wrote: You've obviously never had an Armattan frame in your hands before. I'm a little concerned that the camera is poking out, though... do you know of any frames that have this hybrid-x shape but have better camera protection? • Posts: 2,286 Threads: 38 Likes Received: 1,527 in 995 posts Likes Given: 1,881 Joined: Apr 2016 Reputation: 72 (24-May-2017, 02:06 AM)davidfxiao Wrote: Interesting frame... That's just because I used a camera that doesn't match the mounting hardware properly. If you use an HS1177 camera on the Chameleon, it is completely protected in the aluminium cage. With a little more modifications to the mount, I'll also be able to get my camera further back so that it is equally well protected. • Posts: 3 Threads: 0 Likes Received: 2 in 2 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 0 Can you explain a little bit more what it will take to make the Runcam Eagle fit on the Chameleon? I was about to order a Chameleon with an Eagle but your posts have made me a bit hesitant. • Posts: 2,286 Threads: 38 Likes Received: 1,527 in 995 posts Likes Given: 1,881 Joined: Apr 2016 Reputation: 72 (27-May-2017, 03:50 AM)QuentinT Wrote: Can you explain a little bit more what it will take to make the Runcam Eagle fit on the Chameleon? I was about to order a Chameleon with an Eagle but your posts have made me a bit hesitant. It's not too hard. Part of the mounting for the camera are these parts: Armattan call them "Rubber Dimes". To make the Eagle fit, you have to modify the dime with a scalpel so that the screw holes in the Eagle's case match up with the hole in the dime. This involves cutting the flat part in the lower part of the picture so that the camera can go a little further back. • Posts: 3 Threads: 0 Likes Received: 2 in 2 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 0 (27-May-2017, 01:16 PM)unseen Wrote: It's not too hard. Thanks for the pointer. Posts: 2,286 Threads: 38 Likes Received: 1,527 in 995 posts Likes Given: 1,881 Joined: Apr 2016 Reputation: 72 (29-May-2017, 02:30 PM)QuentinT Wrote: That's not too bad. It would be a shame not to experience the Chameleon just because you have to do a little bit of customisation to fit the FPV camera. It's a great frame and has incredibly good handling. • Posts: 1,290 Threads: 67 Likes Received: 713 in 473 posts Likes Given: 1,216 Joined: Mar 2016 Reputation: 23 Dang you guys!!
