After seeing DOP's vacation thread I thought I would post some photos of our recent trip to Colorado.
My wifes sister rented a ski lodge in a town called Fairplay. She rented it for 2 months and is having a different family in each week, kind of a family reunion for her 1 week at a time. My wife is #9 of 10 kids. This was my first experience with "elevation" or more to the point "thin air "
We flew into Denver ( 5000 ft ) and drove up to Fairplay ( 12,500 ft ) This was our base camp for a week.
This is a picture from inside the lodge , daughter , son in law and myself
one day we went to Breckenridge and stopped at the "Continental Divide" My sweetie and I
Hiking around some trails on the slopes in Breckenridge
A dammed up reservoir in a town called Dillon
We drove back towards Denver and stopped in Colorado Springs for a day and did Pikes Peak and the Garden of the Gods
Kind of hard to breath up here
Wife ,daughter, son in law and myself all trying to get some air
There were several signs in several places about "Absolutley no Drones Allowed" and yet this yahoo base jumps from 14,000 feet
You can see 5 states from up here.
And the "Balancing Rock" in the garden of the Gods.
An absolutely beautiful part of the country ! Really glad we went.
