So I finally took it out for a fly around. TX still can't get telemetry. This thing is quick and super quiet. It feels more like a racer than for freestyle. On stock PIDs, hardly any oscillations. Motor and battery came down cool. Did I mentioned it is quick?

The Tattu held up well. Flight time was average. The ESCs were overkilled. I barely pulled 30A total. I have to verify my current scaling, but I think it is pretty accurate. The motors have plenty of power. I am pretty happy with the props. The Runcam Swift 2, TBS Unify Race and Pagoda antenna worked well. The FC is my current favorite. Simple, great layout, clean OSD and affordable. Wiring this FC was so easy and clean.

I am sold on 4" frame. I recommend anyone flying only 5" give these new 4" a try.

Here are some pictures of the final setup.

Very nice! Great to hear that your maiden went so well!

It's these modern motors that have brought 4" frames back as a viable alternative to 5". My previous 4" with 1806/2300kv motors just didn't have the power needed to blast out of a tricky situation. The 1407s with the super powerful magnets and tiny air gap are like night and day in comparison.

Only 30A sounds a bit on the low side to me. I'd expect at least 60A in a punch out. That's what I got after correcting my current meter scale and I'm only using 4045 two bladed props.
