Analog VTX for PAVO20
#1
Hello!
Got Betafpv Pavo20 drone with this FC: https://betafpv.com/products/f4-2-3s-20a-aio-fc-v1
is it possible somehow connect analog VTX and get OSD on video?

Got Eachine tx805 and AKK ultimate mini VTX
Camera: caddx ratel 2

Currently connected:
VTX with camera: 5v out, gnd, video
VTX with FC: 9v in, GND,  SmartAudio to FC T1

in betaflight configured this way:

Is it possible to get OSD on analog on this hardware? If yes, then what im doing wrong? If not is there any way to buy some external modules for an controller osd?

No, i don't think so! There is no OSD chip on the FC and no videoIn pin.

The Pavo20 comes with the below AIO which is for digital video only. It does not have a pad for connecting up the video in from an analog camera, nor does it have an analog OSD chip. You can still run analog video by connecting the camera directly to your VTX, but you would not be able to get Betaflight to overlay the OSD. Some cameras have their own OSD (such as showing voltage) so if your camera has that option, at least you can get voltage. Otherwise you can get voltage sent to your radio via ELRS.

There are external OSD modules. I have no clue how to configure them, they are like serious programmer level affairs. Also the chances of finding one are very small. I researched this a couple of months back after taking out the OSD on two FC due to bad soldering. One of them is called MinimOSD I think, but this is tech from before OSD on FC, so 7-10 years old. If you can get hold of one, someone on here might know how to set it up.

Or the easier option. Buy another AIO FC. DarwinFPV 1-3S 15A AIO FC would work. Connectors might not work because they have a weird vertical format, so you might have to solder the motor wires directly to the motor pads. But they are cheap to buy, do 3S and if you want, can come with ELRS on board or they sell a version without if you have some other Rx in mind.
