From day one, there should only be one ad banner at the very bottom of the page so it isn't too annoying. (for members) For some reason Google started to "auto place" their ads on websites. Although I have turned this feature off for the forum, it's still appearing at the top of the page. I've decided to remove all the ads completely, if you login as a member you won't see any ads from now on. The ads are to pay for the giveaways, website hosting, domain renewal and maintenance etc. We will still get some ads revenue from visitors that are not logged in, so we are okay Anyway, you don't have to, but if you want to support the ad-free IntoFPV forum you can make a small donation through either Paypal or Patreon: https://www.paypal.me/oscarliang https://www.patreon.com/oscarliang Posts: 536 Threads: 19 Likes Received: 261 in 173 posts Likes Given: 168 Joined: Sep 2018 Reputation: 10 Thank you Oscar, very much appreciated. For example rather than 5 dollars a month, paying 60 dollars a year instead? I understand how a monthly payment might work well for your budgeting, but since my wife does the bills, it likely will be an irritant to do a monthly charge. As the saying goes happy wife happy life. I posted the question here rather than in a PM as I thought others might like the option of an annual payment vs the monthly payment. I really like this forum and am going to join your patreon . so glad it doesn't have the ad bombs every other site has. I have an ad on offer up where I've been helping people out . I feel confident knowing that the best advice I can give would be to join the forum but so far I have been able to help them it's a good feeling • |
