That looks sharp! No more fumbling around to find the power lead when you forget to plug in before putting them on Wink

This is a good idea... I may just have to consider doing it as I am using the RJX reciever so I have that bay wide open and available to do as I wish.

I should be able to route the fan through it also right? since the fan is getting the same voltage as the goggles I should be OK if I can figure out a clever way to route the power... hmmmm... I might need to think about that one a bit.

Yes connecting the Fan to the switch should be pretty easy Smile
it's a great idea as you won't have to plugin the balance lead separately Smile

Definitely.

Actually I don't like plugging in the fan lead anyway... and it already has a button to turn it on and it doesn't run until you push the button. I never decide that I want to turn the fan off part way through operation so I think I have the recipe for hooking it up.

In the words of Richard Branson: Screw it, let's do it.

I ordered the orange one from BG. I'll take pictures and share when the time comes Smile

I've decided to do a toggle switch for mine... I figured it would be more fun to have something sticking out of my face :p

I recently took apart my dead FS battery so I'll have a lead for the fan too. I am just waiting on a couple more things.

So quick note... I went back and forth as to which switch to use... (rhyme intended)...

I ordered the suggested "12V 16mm Angel Eye Metal illuminated LED Push Button Switch Car Dash" from banggood and then also ordered a toggle switch thinking it would be more retro... The toggle switch I haven't installed because I didn't have the perfect size drillbit... but then I finally got the angle eye switch and it was too long... it doesn't fit in the goggle... so I would say a very important thing about this mod is to be sure that the switch isn't too deep.

Here is a photo of me sizing the angel eye switch

I'm determined to get this right though so I'll either use the toggle (which I've kinda not liked because it'll be sideways and add too much extra in the front)  or I'll find something that does work.

More to come!

Yea it looks like the tutorial author suggested the wrong switch size for the project. He picked his up at a local hardware store and didn't compare the sizes of these switches...
The right one should only be 21mm in total length (thread 16mm long). i shall update the guide with this info..
