Well one thing leads to another and I figured I’d assemble the differentials. I’m using a really stiff/dry silicone grease this time around. The diffs aren’t in great condition but I’ve had worse in the Spiders and they still work ok.

It’s obvious now that I’m assembling the car that the plastics have been chewed out by overtightening the screws, for the moment it’s holding together but I’ll need to use a drop of ABS adhesive down the holes if I need to redo these in the future.

It doesn’t take much and I’m at step 6. Before progressing further I’ll have to remove the motor, tank and top deck (all only temporary installs while testing the motor.

I also should reduce the front bumper mount “bend” in the chassis. I suspected it was bent up further by the crash that bent the suspension shaft, and it is a little lop-sided.

Should be an easy job. I have a vice and an array of hammers Smile
