..I have the feeling my equipment is rather playing with me than the other way around,
battling my visual connection, will try longer wavelengths now. Little sidenote to self: A good antenna is more important than a fancy receiver. Second sidenote: Wet atmosphere gives bad picture and wet feet.
Taking the footage sort of felt horrible, but I was surprised at how some of it has turned out.
I tried covering up some of the wonderful noise (*tssss...) w music,
let's see if it's worked out this time..

Well thank you!!
..indeed, it motivated me to try again tonight after work, even though time (daylight..) was running out quickly.
Hell, this time I found a comfy spot to install and it was insane fun. Rolleyes
Keep it up and enjoy!

On the first one @1:57 the cows be like "wtf is that?"

In the beginning of the second one I was like "wait... how would one recover a quad up at the top of the mountain in the event of a crash!"

Great videos as usual bud.

..I actually was really happy to see the cows didn't give a f*** about my zipping around. There is so much polemics going on at the moment, that I consider myself lucky to possess proof of limited disturbance of fpv quad technology in nature. Whistling
Yeah, the mountains..
..worst case would be an enjoyable hike Rolleyes  but at least you could retrieve it.
I lost this very quad of the video including gopro and a brand new lipo to the river! There's no chance of diving it out of where it is without safety measures (harness etc.) and other equipment, so the costs would exceed the value of the quad - here in Switzerland, at least. Another factor is, that I plan going to that spot again, giving it another try (..and build Cry ). I can't guarantee for my flying style (..besides taking painstaking care of not hurting anyone!), I try to evolve and get closer to things, control the attitude of the quad at any moment, so I'd rather not have too much publicity Cool
I'm still digesting my loss, though!
Of course, I immediately rationalized it, but I felt the blow immediately. I'm just digging out of some sort of conspiracy of my quads against me, and Talon 6inch was the only reliable quad I had at that time. Not all bad things come to hurt, however!
Got 4 flying quads at the moment, and still tuning. (..that doesn't ever stop, does it?)
I'm trying to combine range and versatility, so all quads are totally different (..against the "consistency theoreme" of popular fpv pilots, I adore exploring! So I have to battle menstruating quads quite often, ok, but when they shine..:
My 5inch chameleon, for instance, with f4 pro corner fc, 35A 32bit esc (airbot) and 2307 hyperlites (2500kv) I run with either Dal cyclones or hq tris (4.8 pitch) - it's a buttery powerhouse!
The vtx is giving me headaches (tbs unify pro hv!), neither tbs nor irc tramp wants to talk to my fc. I could route it directly to the Rx (crsf), no?
I'm busy with an interesting build right now,
mid-long range concept w. crossfire full size and powerful 5.8 g vtx, a 5s rig of armattan oomphs on a tiltable frame. (karearea rd-015 or so..), it's got the gopro sitting in the very middle of the rotors with the underslung and tilted body!
I'm very keen on seeing what kind of footage it produces,
I think it's quite funny that you can easily angulate the fpv cam differently from the hd cam (can't do that with split ;-) and achieve certain effects.
I'll try to post it as soon as it's tried and tested!

So long, take care and have fun, my Dear!
