5S with a GoPro
#1
First time trying 5S with my KISS build and a GoPro. Got stuck on top one of the tall trees earlier, so a bit timid but still lots of fun. The throttle response is so amazing on 5S, you can fall from the sky and pick it up a meter from the ground with just a brief tap.

Jordan do you happen to have a video comparison of similiar actions on 4s and 5s ?
i wonder the delta in "POWAAAAAH" feeling on the same props and other "changes" you mentioned the throttle is much more responsive, what about flight time is it longer or shorter on 5s (due to additional weight)?

cool flying in a cool spot Smile
All the best

Thanks Grisha, I will do a better comparison soon. I was a bit timid that day because I got stuck up one of the really tall trees there earlier, had to pay an arborist to get it down.

Flight time is a bit longer - probably an extra minute or so. The biggest difference is the throttle response and that the quad continues to feel crisp and not sagged for the entire battery. On 5S it takes much shorter taps of throttle to gain altitude and speed, you can see me overshoot the powerloops a bit. The inertia is also stronger which allows longer hang time for acrobatics.

Here is another video from the same spot few months ago on 4S. This is KISS as well, but different motors - Lum 2206 2350kV, and different props, I think I was using DAL 5045BN-tri.
