I saw this one, here and wondered if any of you have used it or have any opinons on the quality of the video it captures. This is a temporary purchase until I can recover from all the money I've spent getting set up so far, and buy something better. If you have a better choice for me that is still under $100.00 let me know. I've even recieved a few pretty good comments about the DVR Quality of my videos. Although it can not fill the role of Rx. Not sure if this is a priority of yours Here are a couple different videos as examples. one in bright sunlight and the other in cloudy conditions. If you are going to use this VRX solely for DVR, I think adding a DVR to goggles (if you don't have goggles with DVR integrated) is the better way to go. You can at least be sure you are on the right channel and that you have minimal interference. What are you flying that you want to capture footage from? I will be ordering this micro DVR next week to see if I can capture footage from the FPV camera on-board, so as not to record the interference. It has been brought to my attention that this might not work due to an impedance mismatch after splicing the DVR into the video feed. BG has just listed the DVR from the Lizard 105S as a spare part, this has an integrated mic, as well as a video out which neutralizes the impedance mismatch problem, but may introduce lag when recording, I'm sure there will be reviews of the new Lizard soon... I will be writing a post detailing my DVR findings as soon as... Edit Reason: typo ) DroneofPrey that is very decent video, and about what I'm hoping for. Unfortunately I need a receiver as well as neither of my goggles have a dvr. I'm hopefull the Aomway unit will get me something like you're getting. I've seen one review but it was a bench test only. That was decent video quality. But bench testing and field test can be quite different. Thanks for responding and sharing the videos Posts: 3,533 Threads: 265 Likes Received: 2,610 in 1,545 posts Likes Given: 3,893 Joined: Feb 2018 Reputation: 78 23-Feb-2018, 02:28 PM (This post was last modified: 23-Feb-2018, 02:29 PM by Krohsis.) Tom, thanks for taking the time to suggest I try to wire into the goggles. I did contemplate that for a bit, but seeing the possible problems from doing that posted by those who have done it along with me not being familiar enough with the circuitry to dive in, I decided not to go that way. Besides, I want to spend my time building and flying quads. I may just buy the Aomway unit and hope for the best.....I'll post a review with vids if I do so others can see what the device's performance is like. • Posts: 3,533 Threads: 265 Likes Received: 2,610 in 1,545 posts Likes Given: 3,893 Joined: Feb 2018 Reputation: 78 I could do what this guy did, but the cost for the items I would need would come to within 5 bucks of what the complete Aomway unit costs. • Posts: 2,410 Threads: 136 Likes Received: 1,790 in 1,052 posts Likes Given: 3,302 Joined: Jan 2017 Reputation: 50 For simplicity at the field I would go with the Aomway vs a birds nest of wires plugs and smartphone lol. Myself, I would quickly tire of setting it all up as I dont always have the most time to fly, or I have the kiddos with me which is enough to keep track of lol. Im sure someone with more experience with this style VRX can help Posts: 3,533 Threads: 265 Likes Received: 2,610 in 1,545 posts Likes Given: 3,893 Joined: Feb 2018 Reputation: 78 (23-Feb-2018, 10:25 PM)Drone0fPrey Wrote: For simplicity at the field I would go with the Aomway vs a birds nest of wires plugs and smartphone lol.
