4 in 1 esc question
#1
I have a new Cicada, 4-in-1 esc board. As you can see, it is laid out with 4 sets of three solder pads for each of 4 quad motors. they are laid out with motors 1 and 2 on right side and properly. The left side has motors 3 at top and 4 at bottom. This is making me wonder how I should solder my motor wires and signal wires as far as numbers 3 and 4. Proper quad motor and esc lay out differs from this. Just don't know what to think about this.

I have a Little-bee 4-in-1 that is oddly numbered as well. Just make sure your signal wires to the FC match the position of the motors where you solder them. If it was me, I would put motor 1 to ABC1, motor 2 to ABC2, motor 3 to ABC4, and motor 4 to ABC3. Then for my signal wires: S1 to FC1, S2 to FC2, S4 to FC3, and S3 to FC4. What I'm saying is it doesn't really matter as long as quad motor 4 makes its way to FC controller 4, etc.

(It's easier to cross 2 signal wires than it is to cross 6 motor wires...the FC doesn't care about the labels on the 4-in-1 - it just sees 4 escs.)

Scotty,

I am so happy with your answer. It is what I was hoping. I will wire motor 4 to ABC 3 and use number 3 signal wire to FC 4.

So glad for your vigilance,

Willie B

Even if you mess up with the Signal wires you can reassign the Pins in Betaflight...
