0 Hi guys. I have the eachine vr d2 goggles and want to get the runcam eagle 2. Do i get 4:3 or 16:9??? If im not wrong the eachine vr d2 has 5:3 ratio witch is close to 16:9. ??? So if i get 16:9 will the picture look right or is it stretch.
Im now using foxeer hs1177 (2.1mm lense)
Thanks

31 18-Aug-2017, 02:22 AM (This post was last modified: 18-Aug-2017, 02:22 AM by Carl.Vegas.) Hi colazo, welcome to IntoFPV!,
According to one of the product pages the pixels are 800x480 which would be 5:3 like you say. This means that 16:9 would be closer to what you need, although some of that may depend on how the screen displays on those pixels.
It'll probably stretch a little, but based on math alone, not knowing the particular goggles the 16:9 looks like a closer fit to me.
[some of the math I did to come up with my suggestion:
800/480(screen resolution on vr d2s)=1.6666....
16/9(suspected closer ratio)=1.7777...
4/3(likely less fit ratio)=1.3333...
5/3(checking to see if 800/480 reduces to 5:3 ratio stated above... it does!)=1.6666....]
