3s vs 4s battery
#16
Today I tested the 3S 1300mah ...

WTF ??????  the quad gets really insane ! It climbs like a rocket !
And as a test I´m using the 4045 bullnose propellers, I also have a very decent fiber carbon 5030 that works great, I´m curious to see what happens with these props !
I´m curious to measure the speed, but this is not something trivial to do  without GPS

It wont be exact by any means, but you should be able to get an idea...

If you put 2 gates and measure 20m between them, as long as you can maintain the same altitude at max throttle between the gates, shouldn't you be able to make a rough calculation?

If you are recording FPV at 30FPS and it takes 15 frames to go from the last frame with gate 1 in shot, 20m to the last frame with gate 2 in shot then you are going 40 meters per second or 89 MPH. Obviously there is always going to be some error in this method but its a quick and dirty way to get a number.

I´ll do somethign with the gopro5, but it is too heavy, I bought a Runcam v2 (3x less weight) but this will take a while.
Anyway I´ll see what I can do with the gopro !
