3D Printer for only 239 USD: Unboxing, Timelapse Build & Test Prints
#1
Hi guys!

In this video we review the Tevo Tarantula DIY 3D printer which is available for only 239 USD including (!) fast shipping. Unboxing, timelapse build & test prints are all in this video.

My opinion: the Tarantula has many features only known from much more expensive models. Full metal frame, heated bed and even a bowden-style extruder are all part of the *base* version which is only 239 USD including fast shipping. The print bed of the base version is not small either, it comes at a size of 20 cm x 20 cm, which is great for this price. It even comes with two spools of free PLA.

Full information can be found here, where you can buy this printer directly from the manufacturer (which explains the low cost): http://bit.ly/1onMAxK

In my opinion, this is currently the best you can get for your money. As you saw in the video, the print quality is great, at least I'm more than satisfied with it.

While this is not strictly RC related, I believe it fits here very well. Not only because I intend to use it for RC-related 3D prints, but also because of the high applicability of 3D printing in RC.

Please subscribe for more product reviews and (soon!) also RC-related 3D printing videos :-): https://www.youtube.com/RCFPVFlight?sub_confirmation=1

Many thanks and all the best,
Michael

Hi Oscar,

it took me a full Saturday and half a Sunday to get from opening the packet to my first print. However, I had the help of a buddy, who already put together a similar printer. Alone, I would probably have needed double the time.

It is an *awesome* addition to our hobby. I've been printing daily since I got it - it's so nice. There will soon be more on this on my channel :-)

All the best,
Michael

The owl print looks suprisingly good for that price! Have You tried printing with lowest resolution? Can You show a macro shot of that?

I was astonished myself since I did not expect this quality from a cheap printer. I will try to get a better shot of that 0.1mm owl for you. I did not try 0.05mm yet.

Here is a 100% crop from a photo of the 0.1mm owl:
