3D Fails!
#1
One of the best things about 3D printing is being able to print your own Afro!

When you don't have your print head set a comparative mile over your print bed, instead of printing an afro, you can actually print absolutely stunning things with a good printer and the right filament.

The walls of that vase are just one layer wide and one single thread all the way from the bottom to the top in one continuous spiral.

Layer width: 0.4mm
Layer height 0.2mm

I haven't dared trying to remove it from the print bed yet! If I leave it until the morning, I should be able to just lift the print from the bed without any force.

It was a relatively quick print - just 3:44. Smile

It sure is!

As expected, it just slid straight off the build plate this morning. After carefully removing the brim, I filled it up with water. No leaks!

For something that's just a single width of filament, it's remarkably strong.
