working as a structural welder, and having a 14 month old daughter at home, I'm lucky to get in a battery pack or two. I bring my quads to work with me whenever there's a big project and fly around during lunch. that's when you know you're hooked, when you would rather fly than eat. lol. but since it's a 3 day weekend, I got about 10 fully charged packs, a bag full of props, and nothing but an open field. life's good.
Not sure what the acronym really stands for but it means controlled airspace (control zone). It stretches from ground up. Practically it's a no-fly zone. There's a proposition for changing it to 50m above ground (sea?) level which would mean flying would be allowed up to that level (except for close vincinity to airports). Hopefully it'll be passed within a month or so
Took the three day weekend as an chance to try flying fpv with goggles. Had been using a lcd screen. Took the family to a park with a few baseball fields. Spent some time just running the bases with my quad. And yes as I knew I would, I am totally hooked. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone on here for all the help and tutorials. I don't have any friends who fly so I've been learning on my own for the past four months. Between Oscars blog and this forum I've been able to solve all the issues that come up in learning to build and fly a quadcopter. Hi everyone and thanks!
