2S 75 Pro
#1
I've been enjoying the Betafpv 75 Pro on 1S, and wanted to try a 2S setup. Unfortunately the 75 pro frame has a very small AIO tray that will only fit smaller cross shaped AIOs. Not too many choices for a 2S AIO with 10A+ escs. One that looks like it would fit is the HappyModel SuperX board, unfortunately the one I ordered got lost in the mail and now it seems out of stock everywhere.

I had a 2S build with a Flywoo board that I don't fly much, and that kind of fits. The board sits down into the tray but just touches against the hoops, will have to see if that is a problem in flight. I had to resolder all the motor wires so they face in, instead of facing out. I also wanted a Walksnail whoop, and thought 2S would be better for the VTX. But after putting it together, the build seems quite heavy.  In comparison the 1S 75 Pro is significantly lighter around 32g (analog) and 38g (walksanil).
Probably shave off 4-5g with a lighter canopy, thinner/shorter battery lead, and lighter ELRS antenna, but still it seems a little heavy. The Draknight 2" WS build is just a few grams heavier with a much stronger frame and slightly more prop.

Not sure I will be enjoying this. The frame I used is the glued up one I pulled off the 1S BNF. I suspect it will not hold up in a crash. Probably just run some test flights and end up moving the parts to a different build. Anyone flying a 2S 75 pro?

Sounds great. I've added a ton of weight to my 75mm 3s hdzero and it's still a blast to fly. I think you'll enjoy it bigly in the right space.

My Meteor 75 pro 2S, HM SuperX, Walksnail Avatar 1S Lite, PWM switch for VTX. Some random rubber band was used to secure the batteries. I found similar rubber bands on Aliexpress, ordered them, and am waiting...
Dry weight: 41.09 g.

That is nearly the exact setup I would have liked to build. Which motors did you use and how is the SuperX board? I can't seem to find any review or mention of this board. How does it fly, do you also have a 1S 75 pro to compare to?

The built-in BEC flight controller HM SuperX has enough power to power the WA 1S lite v3 from 5 volts using a 2S battery. I supply power to the VTX via PWM Switch 5V, the control wire is soldered to the Led_strip connector, I registered the “servo” resource in Betaflight. I turn the VTX on and off with the remote so it doesn't overheat. For the 2S I used HM 1102 8500KV motors, but these are not optimal motors. The copter hangs at 50% throttle. It was necessary to use 1102 10000KV motors. However, I'm not sad, I'm satisfied with my engines. On FC SuperX the “+” and “-” buzzer inscriptions are mixed up. I tried for a long time to understand why the buzzer did not work, then I measured the output voltage with a tester and soldered the wires in reverse. Now buzzer is working.
It flies well, I have no complaints. The SuperX flight controller is ideal for the 75Pro and digital VTX. The flight controller fits easily into the frame; there is no need to saw, cut or sharpen anything. Only the standard micro-USB cable clings to the frame of the 75Pro with its casing, but I just made another micro-USB cable with a thin casing.
I have analog eachine uz65 and meteor65pro. As usual, the heavier the quadcopter, the more space it needs to fly. There is no point in comparing "65pro" and "75pro", they have different weights and they have different behavior. But I love them all, they are so different and so funny :-)

Had a chance to fly it today, but it was freezing temps, 15mph gusty winds and grounds still soaking from earlier rains.
Its got good power, and handled the winds ok, but a little shaky and not great battery life. Around 2 minutes on some old 300mahs, but close to 4 minutes on a Betafpv 450. The open prop 2" cuts through the air much better and has longer flight times, but the whoop was fun to fly through branches without worries and had no problem turtling off the ground. Didn't have to walk out to it all, whereas the open prop 2" needed rescuing several times. I guess the question is if I'm better off sticking with an 85 2S walksnail whoop... or should I try to rebuild this 75pro lighter? (it does seem easier to get ducts out of view with the 75pro)
