my ZMR250 and EVO250 weight around 720g including GoPro and Lipo...
my Speed Addict 210 and Ghost 220 weight about 600g including GoPro and Lipo....

things you can to reduce weight on Mini quad:

- shorten motor/ESC wires as much as youcan
- solder motor on ESC directly not using bullet connectors
- Use 2 motor bolts instead 4 (not recommend unless you are willing to take the risk Smile )
- use nylon standoffs
- use light weight components such as mini VTX, littblebee/dys ESCs

Armattan F1-6
667g with RunCam2, immersionRC 5.8GHz, X4R-SB, integrated PDB, 1800mAh LiPOs
- Shorten every power lead as far as you could.
- Don't use hot glue
- Isolationtape instead of zipties.
Sky is where the fun begins!
Flying: Armattan F1-6 / Cobra 1960kv / KISS / 1800mAh nano's / SPR3 / Betaflight 2kHz

I recently built a 250 using an EMAX frame that weighs in at 613 grams.

I was a little concerned about it being too heavy, but it's nice to know it's in around the same range as other 250s. I have a Mobius camera, which definitely saves on weight. Honestly, with weight being such an important part of multirotors, I'm surprised people use GoPros.

I really like the idea of soldering motor wires directly to the ESCs. I definitely have some optimization to take care of with lengthy wires.

My LS210 weighs 299g without lipo and 450g with(1300mah 4s). No recording camera used.
RCX 2205 2300kV
Little bees 20A
Naze rev 6
Foxeer 600mW VTX with heavy spiro antenna
Foxeer XAT600M 600tvl Sony Super HAD CCD FPV Camera
Frsky s.bus RX

Motors soldered directly to esc

Camera(with plastic case) and vTX/antenna is somewhat heavy. Could probably get it lighter.

I built my first 180 class yesterday and saved 29 grams by cutting and soldering a bit Big Grin

- cut motor wires and solder them to the esc
- cut down power wires from esc
- cut and soldered the control wires to the flight controller
- changed from PWM to CPPM (only 3 wires from RX to FC instead of 8) (cut length and soldered to FC as well)

All in all 29 grams - a LOT more than I thought before I started. So next week it will be the surgeons office for my 250 as well.

Henrik

That is quite a bit more than I thought. Once my FPV gear arrives, I will be shedding some extra wire weight! We'll see if I can beat 29 grams.

Good luck Smile

I'll see if I can get a picture of the cabling mess I cut away and the finished result when I get home on Sunday. I should have taken a picture of the testing setup I had with the original cable all messed up.
