I understand that most fpv cameras are fitted with 2.8mm lens. I also understand that a 2.5 lens is a better, more natural view for FPV racing. Are there interchangeable camera lenses with IR block in the 2. 5mm format? Any help /experience on what I should buy would be appreciated.

It's going to depend some on your camera (you didn't mention what that was).  A quick search on "2.5mm lens fpv" turns up a lot of options.  It might be a good idea to search the site where you purchased your camera.
