Stole the popcorn off of RCG...shh... (it's actually an animated gif, but only the first frame showed up here - darn!)

I don't know how much they weigh.....I did, but I don't remember.  It's not a lot.  They are made out of some kind of dense foam.

Greetings All.....

Getting close..... I still have to put the VTX in.  I was going to do tht tonight , but I need to put a new antenna lead on it due to space limitations and I can't find my coax...grrrrrrr.  So I will have to get some ......in the mean time I am going to do a little LOS. Smile

Very nice sirdude! Very tidy. Have you had a chance to weigh it?

Yes I did, AUW is 251g.  Those steel screws add some extra and the landing pads add a little and those props could be a bit lighter.  I suspect I'll shave some off as I tweak it.  Couldn't do any FPV as I still have to get the VTX installed (the weight did include it), but I did get a chance to do a little LOS before it got dark.  It really flies nice...very smooth.  I am anxious to get the VTX on so I can do some FPV...I think I'm really gonna like it. Smile

That's very good!! especially with those Hyperion lipos.  I replaced my 4045 bull-nose props with regular DAL 4045 props and knocked off 9 grams - flight time significantly improved too.  (A little more can be saved with thin aluminum nylock prop nuts, which can be found in CW/CCW sets.)

It hadn't occurred to me to change the prop nuts, I'll do that at some point. Thanks Scotty!

Unfortunately, force2frames is either out of business, or has been sold.  The URL now shows "Under Construction".  I am hoping that the business was bought and that the frames will be back soon (or that the original owner is just redesigning his site).  I have 4 of the frames (two 160s and two 130s) and I love them! My first Nano 130 is nearing completion.

I was actually a little worried when the guy put all of his frames on sale about a month ago (so I bought a couple).  Keep your fingers crossed.  They are very nice little frames.

Hey folks .......for those that have more flight experience then I (which is almost everybody), is there a reason that this little thing seem about a 1000 times easier to fly then my 250?  I haven't done any FPV with it because I am waiting for some ant, cable so that I can place the VTX where it needs to be, but this thing flies like a dream....at least compared to the 250.  Confused   Thought/opinions/comments , etc??

Maybe cause you're a more experienced builder (and flyer) now! Smile

Other differences might be because of differences in your FC software.  Are you running a later version (of whatever) on the 160?   I am running Betaflight 2.9 on miy 160 now (bumped up from Cleanflight 1.12) and it is noticeably nicer to fly.

Smaller is more agile usually, but I don't know that that would be considered "easier".

Running the same FC using the same version of Cleanflight.  Part of it is probably that I do have a little more experience, but I think maybe the largest difference is that it IS more agile and flying in the areas I do, that helps.  I really want to do some FPV with it a soon as I get my VTX right...I may try and do something temporary this weekend just so I can do a little FPV.  Anyway, I just know that it's really fun to fly this thing! Ok folks.....put my VTX in with a "make shift (12.92mm) ant. so I could try a little FTP, but the image is out of focus??  The VTX and the RX are on the same channel and everything is on NTSC. I'm getting no interference from the motors.  Have been out about 200 feet and still have a good strong signal....it's just out of focus....so much so that I can't use it to fly by.  Its a Diatone 600TVL 120° Mini Camera. Anyone got any ideas on this....known problems with this camera?
