Already tried to find something with the mulitmeter connection test but without any luck. (Maybe somebody even has a diagram of the board layout?) Thanks in advance Wasp | | | Dark video feed | Posted by: HaveAPotato - 28-Aug-2022, 09:50 PM - Forum: Electronics - Replies (4) | | So today I took my Darwin TinyApe out to fly and the video feed is just dark. Its not black which is weird its just very dark to the point where it looks like its dark out. I can see myself and my surounding through the video feed its just like im flying at 10pm. | | | Disappearing/reappearing Mag and Baro | Posted by: QuadNut - 28-Aug-2022, 09:44 PM - Forum: Electronics - Replies (1) | | Mamba H743, HGLRC M80 PRO GPS. Booted up a 10” project I’ve been working on for several months off and on. Noted the Mag and Baro were not visible on the Betaflight screen. Both had worked in the past. Noodled a bit, opened CLI, did a diff and dump, both looked ok to my very un-trained eye. Typed exit and reconnected. Poof! Mag and Baro were back! I’d just like to know why, please? Once I’ve got it flying in Betaflight my plan is to shift over to iNav for some autonomous flying, position hold and landing fun. I’d prefer the Mag and Baro operate flawlessly. Thanks. | | | Tinyhawk 2 Freestyle | Posted by: SteffeWest - 28-Aug-2022, 02:43 PM - Forum: Beginner Questions - Replies (4) | | Hello ! Best regards Stefan | | | Is updating a PITA? or is it just me?? | Posted by: Rob Axel - 28-Aug-2022, 02:30 PM - Forum: Beginner Questions - Replies (37) | | .. my quad fly fine, most on BF 4.1.*. I have discovered “fine” is acceptable until I see how much better they are on a updated firmware, presets, filters… I did this with my 5” a while back, with the bf GitHub preset JB used. I bought the updated esc firmware.. and together it seemed to fly 1000% better.. Onto this morning, I wanted to update my TH freestyle. Decided to “try” the update process on a prototype first. What a PITA, I’m still learning this stuff so bear with me. Apparently My Bluejay needed updating to get the latest esc firmware, did that then discovered Bluejay is no longer supported, it’s “ESC configurator”.. I remember seeing this a while back. Then onto betaflight, we’ll, u can’t go right to BF 4.3.1.. apparently it has to be done in “steps”..As I thought I was making progression I forgot … EACH TIME YOU UPDATE BETAFLIGHT, you have to reset ALL YOUR SETTINGS!!! You have to start from square one!! Yes I know you can do a “diff all” in the cli. But has anyone SEEN all the changes is BF 4.3.1?? Oh did I mention, you have to re-bind?? Something I totally forgot about… My cpu percentage doubled when I selected bi-directional d-shot.. and I only have it on 300… Then I tried to ply with “presets” from all the contributors.. If I was getting frustrated, I KNOW people to the hobby have to be saying “WTF!!!!??” … or it is just me?? | | | Multimeter Testing Issues | Posted by: HiThere - 28-Aug-2022, 06:33 AM - Forum: Beginner Questions - Replies (3) | | Hi there I have some weird test results from testing around with my multimeter that I am having a hard time explaining. Continuity on FC main battery leads: + multimeter to + FC and - multimeter to - FC: no beep, OL + to - and - to + or "reversed": no beep but shows 0.582 (ohms? kohms?) of resistance It seems like when I hook up the multimeter to match the polarity, I get no continuity. But when I "reverse" the polarity I get some sort of continuity. Continuity between + and - of my vtx (RMRC 800mw 1.2 ghz): Either way I touch the leads, I get a beep and resistance reading of 0.006 My questions: 1) how come the FC has no continuity one way and continuity the other way (unless the no beep on the "reversed" connection signifies no continuity, if so then why is there a resistance reading?) 2) Is it normal for the vtx to have continuity across + and -. In a way it makes sense because there are no physical switches or components preventing the circuit from closing once the power source is connected. I have already powered up the FC and vtx and can confirm everything is working but would still like to know. Thanks to whoever can help answer | | | Crossfire and Tracer bound, no stick inputs in iNav | Posted by: KhreachurR - 27-Aug-2022, 05:05 PM - Forum: Beginner Questions - Replies (8) | | Hey guys, I'm new... please be gentle I am using a switchable tx/rx setup. I have mounted both a tracer nano rx and crossfire nano rx in my dolphin and have one set of wires to plug into whichever one i want to use based on the flight ahead. Then i just swap out my radio module for whichever rx i have plugged in. I was able to get them both set up and installed all the firmware updates (tracer tx/rx on v6.19 and crossfire tx/rx on v6.19). I am running into a huge problem and haven't been able to find anything to help besides snowleopardfpv digging through others "dump" and fixing it from there in forums. My tracer receiver and transmitter/radio are bound together and show solid green light. When i plugged into crossfire, i was able to pop in my crossfire module and bind them up and update them just fine as well. However, whenever i try to use the stick inputs in iNav receiver tab, i get nothing at all, completely unresponsive. I am however, able to test my motor through iNav slider ONLY. I also get "telemetry lost, telemetry recovered" when im plugging and unplugging so i know its working... just not as i want it to.. Also tested with Lipo, same results. I am running iNav 5.1 I have wired it up correctly and checked several times to be sure. Rx to Tx, Tx to RX.. I have it plugged into UART2 on MatekH743-WingV3. In iNav, I have port 2 set as serial Rx. I have GPS on UART6 and it gets 12 satellites while inside so that's working. I have receiver set to Serial, CRSF, inverter off, half duplex or whatever set to auto, but i have tried switching these settings around to no avail. My model has its internal RF off and external set to CRSF, however I am new and really haven't done anything else in model settings, not sure if there's more for me to do besides that. Anyways, I was hoping to see if anyone can please help, i just wanna fly I am willing to add pictures and whatever else you guys need from me. | | | Hex nano binding problem | Posted by: AmirHunter - 27-Aug-2022, 12:35 PM - Forum: Beginner Questions - Replies (3) | | I have a hex nano and tbs tango 2 I can't bind my drone to my controller when I connect my drone to power, I have the flashlight codes, for example, 3 times blue, 4 times red and 1-time yellow the manual said if I hold the bottom for 2 sec, blue light must blink or but nothing happened for me, and I can't find a single video or explaining more in any website about that step, my tbs tango 2 updated in the latest version betaflight running, and I have my drone I the app my drone was working until I had the telemetry lost problem, and i tried to make reset and update | | | |
