Feel for ya, had it about 2 months ago. It didn't get me as bad as my partner, she did a LOT of sleeping. Trouble was it delayed my hernia op by a week and a bit. Just let me out of hospital today and just done the 250km trip hm. I'm still trying to get on the forum at the right time to catch all the fun. I was reading it earlier and it disappeared on me, must of got turned off.

Hugs and warm fuzzies for all y'all. I've been blessed enough to be able to spend the last few years in quarantine- my health and lungs are bad enough that if I get covid, I'll be as dead as my last whoop build.
I'm glad you both made it through it.

Disclaimer: I don’t know wtf I’m talking about. I wish I could get the smell of burnt electronics out of my nose.
I'm with you on that pathfinder. We've only had 2 vacc's and probably should have had 4 by now, but we live rural Australia and don't have as much of a problem with covid as some parts of the world. I really think it's more of a problem if you are immunocompromised, your body can't fight the infection well enough. That's when the alcohol works hahaha.
Yeah, my sister lives in the outback, about a days travel south of Darwin. I think she's had 3 vacc's so far. She brought it back to us this summer when she came back to the UK, lol. But for whatever reason I was the only one who didn't get it. Took out everyone in the family except me. Go figure.
Still I really don't want it again for a bit. It would be nice if it was like flu or a cold and didn't linger so much. But this is nothing compared to my first time back in the zero days, when it hit the world and no one knew how to treat it. When i got it that time I was ill for nine months. I'll take this two weeks of illness over that anytime.
A Holybro Kakute F7 v1.2 flight controller and Tekko32 F3 4in1 Metal ESC combo!
Thanks Oscar!
This will be my first experience with Holybro electronics. I dig that the gyro is mounted on a separate board above the flight controller with vibration isolation foam between the two, so that I don’t have to bother with soft mounting the fc or digging through my container of gummies to find ones of the right height that aren’t torn/damaged.
It’s also cool that Holybro actually has detailed instruction manuals available online. It’s pretty rare to be able to find anything other than a wiring diagram, at least with the brands I’ve used so far.
Now I just gotta figure out what I want to put it in.

Well done
Some people on here have had some unfortunate issues with Holybro electronics (namely ronin), and Holybro also went through a bad patch where one of their ESCs was badly designed, but other than that they are a reputable brand and their gear is generally solid and reliable in my experience. My original analog 5" quad runs separate Tekko32 ESCs on the arms and my main digital quad runs an Holybro F7 stack. I also have another 30x30 Holybro stack to go in another 5" quad and a 20x20 Holybro stack to go in a 3" quad. Oh, and also couple of spare Holybro FC's as backups, one of which is exactly the same as what you have there. That's the v1.2 version with an ICM-20689 gyro. Holybro later released a v1.5 version of the same FC with an MPU-6000 gyro instead but there is nothing wrong with the ICM-20689 in my experience and I've never had any problem flying with that gyro.
To date I've not had any issues with Holybro electronics (knock on wood) which is why they are one of my go-to hardware manufacturers.
One thing to be aware of is some of the older Holybro 4-in-1 ESCs had the rings in each of the mounting holes connected to one of the motor pads on each corner (see another post HERE) so check continuity on those and if your ESC is one of those just make sure you use good quality gummies to mount it to the frame if using metals screws.

I’ve had no issues with the few ICM-20689 gyros I’ve used.
Thanks for the heads up about the ESC- it would have never crossed my mind as something to be concerned with (seriously, wtf?!?), and I will definitely check for continuity first and isolate appropriately if needed.
