Geprc mark 5 frame parts
#1
Hello everyone I’m posting this just incase there’s someone out there that possibly has an abundance of parts etc, I bought a mark 5 pro frame and built it and it flies great. But within the first week literally the rear arm delaminated later by layer I couldn’t believe it. I went to go buy replacement arms and there’s absolutely none anywhere except from China which will take over a month to get here to Michigan. From my understanding it’s probably caused by the hurricane which is so sad I pray everyone in Florida stays safe.. but if anyone happens to have some arms in the US I will buy them. Thanks -Kadon

You can put a good arm on a photocopier/scanner and get the design made in a CAD program. And then get a company like CNCmadness to cut the arms for you.

Its really not that difficult and I am sure this is considered fair in that you are not pirating the frame but rather fabricating your own replacement parts for a frame you have actually bought.

Its best to always keep a few spare arms for your favourite frame. I have a couple of spare arms for my SourceOne V3 since thats my daily basher quad.

Whenever I buy a frame I always also buy 2 additional spare arms at the same time if some are available just in case. To date I've never needed any of them but it's worth the few extra dollars for the insurance policy factor if you break one so that you don't have to wait around for delivery (or find they are no longer available sometime in the future if the frame has been discontinued).

It doesn't say in your profile, but I have found them in stock at a number of different EU and UK suppliers. I guess you're probably not in Europe otherwise you would have found them.

If you're in the USA then Rotor Village in Canada has some which might be a quicker shipping time than from China...

My rear arm is now delaminated too. But my frame is older. Luckily I found a replacement in Germany. But it's strange that I have the same problem. The carbon feels high-quality.

So many variables, how hard its been treated, maybe a batch of arms were made from a "drier" sheet of carbon?

I have two of these frames in use, and so far so good, one for six months.  One was more recently bought as a spare parts supply for £30 new, but me being me, I HAD to assemble it and get it flying.  Rolleyes

After all, it'll be quicker to get flying one again than the delay of having to repair the first one!   Big Grin Big Grin.
